Create your Refgrow account and project
Sign up for free, create a project, and paste your Stripe Secret Key in the project settings. Refgrow will automatically set up the required webhooks.
Add the Refgrow widget to your app
Add the public widget container and load page.js. The widget renders the affiliate dashboard inside your app; load latest.js separately on pages where you need referral attribution.

Verify before you invite partners
After connecting Stripe, open a referral link in a fresh browser session and complete your test checkout. Check that the customer, sale, and commission appear in your workspace.
Attribution must reach checkout through the supported referral parameter, metadata, coupon, or email flow for your integration. Adding a tracking script alone does not connect every custom checkout.

How tracking works
Refgrow integrates with Stripe via webhooks for real-time, server-side conversion tracking. Here's the flow:
Visitor clicks affiliate link
A referral cookie is set on the visitor's browser with the affiliate's tracking code.
Visitor signs up for your product
The referral code is passed to Stripe as metadata (client_reference_id or session metadata).
Customer completes payment via Stripe
Stripe fires a webhook (checkout.session.completed or invoice.paid) to Refgrow.
Refgrow attributes the conversion
Using coupon match, metadata, or email fallback, Refgrow finds the affiliate and records the commission.
Commission tracked in real-time
Both you and the affiliate see the conversion instantly in the dashboard. Payouts are calculated automatically.
